The City of Duncan is committed to achieving our community's target of zero-waste. Please continue to help us reduce, reuse and recycle. For more information about the region's waste management plan, go to the
CVRD's website.
Please note that backyard burning has been completely banned in the City of Duncan for a number of years. There is also a new Valley-wide initiative in place designed to reduce backyard burning - Cowichan Valley residents can now dump their yard waste for free at the Bing's Creek site year round. Call Bing's Creek at the number listed below for more information.
The City of Duncan now picks up Recycling, Organics, and Garbage with its own crews. Recyclables will be picked up every other week on your collection day. Recycling bags, stickers for cans and calendars can be picked up from City Hall, 200 Craig Street at no charge.
